What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

This is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Have it reviewed against your actual setup before launch — particularly the processors named below.

Who is responsible

The operator named in the Impressum is the controller for the data described here. Write to the address there for any request about your data.

What we collect

An account needs an email address and a display name. As you use the app we store what you save, follow, read and play, so your library, your place in a book and your listening history work across devices.

Your account

You can edit your profile at any time and delete your account, which removes your profile, library, history and notes.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address and the language you signed up in. It is used only to send the newsletter, and every email carries an unsubscribe link.

Cookies

We set a cookie to keep you signed in, and store your theme and language choice in your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Who processes data for us

Supabase (database, authentication and file storage, EU region) and Vercel (hosting). Quran text, translations and recitations are fetched from Quran Foundation and mp3quran.net; requesting them tells those services your IP address.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, a copy of your data, and object to processing. You may also complain to a supervisory authority.

How long we keep things

Account data stays until you delete your account. Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe.
